Welcome to West Guwahati Commerce College Library

The West Guwahati Commerce College was started in May ,1992 . The library was accommodated in the present building in 2015. The library is renamed after the local social worker Mr. Narayan Chandra Bharali. He was the founder member of West Guwahati Commerce College. He has donated 50 thousand rupees for the development of the library .
The Library is housed in second floor building of about 6000 sqr.ft.
Its total collection of reading materials amounts to 56 lacs, including textbooks, general books, reference books, Journals etc.
The library is catering the needs of about 2000 readers consisting of Teachers, Staff and students of Higher Secondary, B.Com and others.
Layout of the Library:
1. Property Counter, Check Point &Newspaper Reading Desk: At the entry of the Library.
2. Library Records: After the reading room.
3. Membership Desk, Circulation Section & OPAC: At entry area of the library
4. Stack Area: Northern Part of the membership Desk.
5. Reading Room, teacher & Researcher’s Section: Western part of the Membership Desk.
6. Current Periodical: Displays at the library office.
7. Server Room: Attached to the librarians room.
9. Librarians Chamber: Eastern side and right corner of the reading room and Membership Desk.
10. Acquisition and Technical Processing Section: Near to membership Desk.
11. Computer Section: Western side of the library reading room.
12. Drinking Water Facilities (with RO)
13. Washrooms (For both and girls)
